Respect is something we all want but unfortunately cannot be demanded. Respect it usually earned.
To get the respect you deserve, I’d say focus on your own actions rather than that of the boys. Start by putting up respect-worthy boundaries. When we act respectably, we are more likely to be treated in the same way. Here are a few ‘must do’ boundaries that will promote you as the respectable individual that you are, and gain you the respect you are looking for!
Refuse to gossip or be known as someone who spreads rumors.
Dress respectably. Boys and girls alike disrespect skanky dressing.
Be positive. People respect those who find the good in others.
