Dear Slipping;
I can certainly feel your struggle. Your questions have come at the right time!
Learning to love, trusting again, working through issues of relationships and faith are challenging issues. Any one of your questions alone can be burdensome. When you combine them, it can seem overwhelming. The truth is, each one of your questions is valuable, and you deserve good answers. However, unpacking it all in this context would not give your concerns the advice they need.
Do you have an adult in your life you feel comfortable talking to? I’d suggest a teacher, youth worker, older girlfriend or even a counsellor. Is there a mom from church who has always been kind to you? She may be the right one. When you feel like things are slipping out of control, it’s time to talk. Get help.
One thing I will assure you of is God’s help. He has said in James 1:5 that if any of us need wisdom for our situation, that we should ask Him and He will give it to us generously. God’s help does not always mean the solutions will instantly pop into our head (although sometimes that happens). Usually it means, God will help us find the right resources (in your case person) that can assist us.
Promise me you’ll find someone to talk with. It’s the right time.
Sam
