The truth about make-up

Hi Holly: Thanks for your question. Many girls (and mothers) have wondered the same thing! My straightforward answer is no. It's not bad to wear dark make-up. I don't think make-up in itself is bad at all!

But...our actions come from what's in our heart. What's your motivation for wearing dark make-up? Does it simply look good on you? Are you trying to make a statement? Trying to conform to some group? The fact that you're asking me the question makes me think there's a heart issue in play.

A verse in the bible says, guard your heart with all diligence, because out of your heart flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). In others words, all issues in life come from your heart. If your heart is right, no issues. If your heart is being compromised, for one reason or another, you'll have an issue. What is your heart telling you about the dark make-up?
