Dear Sam: Most of my friends are not religious, but I am very religious! I try soooooooo hard to talk to them about God and sexual purity and making good choices in life, but all they seem to say is "ya whatever" or "why are you being so 'goddy'?" Its really hard to be around them sometimes. It can be really uncomfortable when they say that stuff, but I know I can’t give up. Many of choices they plan on making are going to ruin their lives! I need help!
You’re soooooooo right! You can’t give up. Being willing to remain committed to your convictions is a huge step of faith, but not an easy one! Soooooooo, keep being an example to your friends. Sometimes your actions are enough that you don’t need words. Second, stay strong by finding a good support network. When your friends are making decisions against what you believe, you’ll need other people to hang around with that will encourage and support you. Third, continue to love your friends, even if they make a bad decision. People are always looking to be loved, especially if they mess up! Lastly, if your friends ask, don’t be afraid to tell them about God and how He helps you with your problems.
Hope that helps!
