Hey X….. good question. I think you’re not alone in asking this question!! And there’s lots of confusion about it. To answer simply;
Physically: No
Emotionally: No
Spiritually: No
Medically: Yes
Think about it. Humans have been uniquely created by God. We have a body, a soul and a spirit. Our body is the vehicle for God’s purposes. Our soul is the place of our emotions, decisions and intellect. Through our spirit, we connect with God.
When we engage in sexual activity outside of marriage, it causes us to lose our virginity beyond the medical definition. That’s because real (not technical) virginity has little to do with piercing the hymen and lots to do with physical, emotional and spiritual honour. If you allow your body, your emotions and your spirit to in engage in sexual activity that causes you to lose your honour, separating you from God’s best design for your life…..you are losing your virginity!
