Here’s to the awesome, awesome girls who attended Girls’ Heart Point ’08 . . .

May 2nd & 3rd,

University of Waterloo . . .

You poured in by the van loads Friday night . . . from all over Ontario . . . from BC and Manitoba . . .

filling seats for a huge house of over 1200 . . .

and then the evening exploded onto the screens ―

and we were all into the amazing extravaganza.

SUSIE shot from the hip’ on so many girl topics during her Q & As . . .

And CARRIED AWAY. . . WOW ―

these fabulous, young women really rocked as music artists and role models

. . . our Worship was more than just about music . . . .

we sang, we danced the jigs through the aisles and then we cried

because the violin was so beautiful

and He was so real . . . .

and it was all about ‘Him’

. . . and we felt the power on our heart as the ‘Rescuer’ rode across the screen

making us know who ‘He’ is and why ‘He came’ . . .

and we met with Him personally that night . . .

100s and 100s and 100s of us at the cross

Saturday came and

SHANNON ETHRIDGE’S talk made life and its cultural pressures come to the surface . . .

and we had a hard look at our sexuality integrity and those issues

that are challenging your own generation so deeply . . .

and we loved SAIDAT . . . her red laced boots ― her hip hop dancing,

and her totally cool message on girl bullying for our Juniors . . .

TRESSA our fab fashion communicator was alive with tips and coaching

on making outfits trendy and savvy . . . as well as visually modest . . .

some of our girls and one mom came on stage to model those clothes!

and BETHANY HAMILTON’S own story of her shark attack and

and how God is using it in amazing ways ― really rocked with us . . . .

SUSIE SHELLENBERGER brought a final message that clarified for our hearts,

that eternal issue of heaven’s rewards . . .

yes, this weekend we looked at the little black dot representing our life here on earth,

and its dash sign between the dates on a tombstone . . .

right on, to our everlasting line of eternity.

And our worship which began with the popular songs of this 21st Century, took us progressively closer to Him, until . . . .

at conference close we were experiencing the “Throne Room Worship of God” with our HEART POINT DANCERS lifting up colours that symbolize amazing ‘God statements’ in the spirit realm.

We were ‘in God’s face’ there at Waterloo, and He, in all of His magnificence and awe, received our prayers and our worship.

This weekend, Jesus Christ was entering into ‘forever relationships’ with His girls.
