Ask Jesus Into Your Life

His love will make all the difference!

Maybe you clicked on here because you're curious about what it means to invite Jesus Christ into your life. Well, hey, keep going because this may be the most important web connection you've ever made!

Philippians 3:10a "... that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection" • What we're talking about is YOU personally getting to know the GOD of the universe!
Jeremiah 31:3b "I have loved you with an everlasting love; with lovingkindness I've drawn you to Me." • GOD'S already done everything to set it up for YOU. It's like He's been sending YOU flowers and candy for ages now . . . Have you noticed?
I John 4:8b "God is love."

John 17:3 "This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."		 • It's a fact . . . GOD is absolutely "crazy" about YOU!
• He is wildly pursuing your heart . . . because He really wants a forever relationship with you.
• He is actually inviting YOU to step into His royal family and become His "Princess" forever.
• Now this 'forever Princess relationship' with GOD begins here on earth and continues on into heaven with Him some time in the future . . . right?

The Bad News
Romans 3:23 "all of us have sinned and fall short of God's glory."

Proverbs 16:25 "There is a way that seems to be right to a person, but the end of that way is death."

Isaiah 59:2a "But your sins have made a separation between YOU and your GOD."		 • The bad news is that none of us can go to heaven to be with God . . . because none of us are good enough!
• We’ve all messed up . . . . done wrong things (sinned).
• Because GOD is totally holy He cannot allow sin to come into His magnificent heaven.
• GOD is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all.

This news is pretty devastating.
• Some people think that if they just try really hard to be better, and not sin so much, then maybe GOD will let them come to heaven anyway.
• But no matter how hard we try, we just keep on blowing it.
• Maybe you’ve tried hard yourself.
• The truth is, GOD is totally holy, and His standard is perfection and none of us humans can attain to that. Our own sin has separated us from God.

 
The Good News
John 14:6 “Jesus said, I am the (only) way (“to GOD”)” • Here’s the good news (thankfully!)
I Peter 3:18a “For CHRIST also has suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to GOD.” • GOD loves us so much that He actually made a way (the only way) to get rid of our sin for us! GOD sent Jesus Christ to earth for one important reason . . . to die on the cross.
• When JESUS gave up his life, He was really taking the punishment for our stubborn self-will, our bad attitudes and selfish behavior. Think of some of the stuff you’ve personally done.
• JESUS paid the penalty for our sin, so that we can be forgiven and be made ‘right’ with GOD.
Philippians 3:9 “. . . not having a righteousness of my own, but a righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ.”

Ezekiel 11:19b “(GOD) will take away your heart of stone and give you a tender heart of love.”

John 1:12 “to all who receive Him, He gave the right to become children of GOD, even to those who believed in His name (Jesus).”

Revelation 3:20 “I ( JESUS) am standing at the door constantly knocking. If anyone hears ME calling and opens the door, I will come in (to her life and become an intimate friend.)”

• Because JESUS Christ is perfect and totally righteous . . . and because He loves YOU He offers to exchange your sin for His righteousness.
• Only JESUS can give YOU a ‘new heart’ and qualify YOU for His fabulous heaven.
• It’s YOU who decides to receive Him and His gift of righteousness . . . by faith.

• One of the best ways to make such an important transaction with GOD, is by praying . . . (talking to GOD one-on-one)
• To receive JESUS Christ into your life is to receive His righteousness too. YOU can do that by praying a prayer aloud, like this prayer:

Dear Jesus,
• I accept Your invitation to become Your “Princess”.
• But, I’ve blown it. I’ve said and done many wrong things. I have sinned.
• Please JESUS, I’m asking YOU to forgive my sins right now, because I know that’s why YOU died on the cross.
• Please come into my life and put Your righteousness around me like a blanket . . . a blanket of righteousness.
• Let your righteousness begin to work in my behavior and in how I think, to change ME from the inside out.
• I am asking this in faith, LORD, because I can’t yet see YOU with my eyes. Thanks for hearing me pray, and thank you, JESUS, for coming into my life and making ME Your “Forever Princess”.
